Tea Is Able to Improve Gum HealthIn 2009 there was a study conducted on green tea's health benefits. Turns out, they're numerous. Not only will they help you ward off disease (problems with your heart and brain), it'll help stabilize glucose in diabetics, lower both cholesterol and blood pressure, and help promote healthy teeth and gums.

How Green tea Impacts Your gum Health

There's no way around the fact that you must exercise proper oral health hygiene if you want to get rid of the plaque that's on your teeth. Of course, this is important to do because when it hardens there it turns into a substance that we call “tartar.” Unfortunately, when left unchecked, this is what ultimately causes gum disease. As of today, there aren't any natural remedies that are known to treat or prevent gum diseases. Instead, it's up to you to maintain your teeth in a healthy fashion.

Adding some green tea will help, but not replace the other preventative measures that you must take here. By adding it to your diet, you're simply helping your mouth have an extra fighting chance at keeping plaque buildup away and your gums healthy.

Using Green tea and for Your gum Health

While green tea is good for your gums, it isn't the only thing you should be doing to take care of them. You also need to brush your teeth twice daily with a toothpaste containing fluoride, floss once a day, and use mouthwash. However, it definitely won't hurt to add green tea to your diet and reap its many benefits from doing so.

All it takes is one or two cups (8 – 16oz) of green tea daily. However, if you want to learn more about how green tea can help improve your gum health, give us a call so we can answer all your questions for you today.
